At The Learning Lamp, our mission is to engage all children with the support they need to succeed in school. We believe success in the classroom is the foundation for success in life—and that no child should go without the opportunity to reach his or her full potential. Founded in 2003, with a single program, one-to-one tutoring, The Learning Lamp now serves thousands of children each year by working together with families and schools to meet the needs of students.

On Monday, May 13, 2024, child care advocates nationwide will take action by participating in the third annual “Day Without Child Care.” Although The Learning Lamp will participate in “A Day Without Child Care” with a targeted social media campaign, it WILL NOT close its doors to parents because it recognizes the hardship even one day without care can cause. The building, a former gym, was transformed to nearly double the center’s capacity to serve children and families with high-quality, reliable child care.
